Čitajući Prusta…

While I was reading the novel “Swann In Love” written by Marcel Proust I found this beautiful painting: “A woman Of Ambition” is the masterpiece of a James Tissot, the famous painter of a Parisienne high society and a master in rendering female charms. I was delighted. This lady could be a courtesan Odette and some of these fine gentlemen could be Mr Swan. At this point of view, I can’t blame Odette for her behaviour – playing with the hearts of men, or perhaps with their minds is definitely her talent, well-trained skill. Proust is an excellent observer, sometimes I think I could eat, hear and live every single word he has written in this book.
James Tissot A Woman of Ambition

Jedna Svanova Ljubav

Ugly Duck of Lomography

View this post on Instagram

Something magical is following in my life, right now. While I was listening to the song "Your Hands Are Cold" from the movie "Pride And Prejudice" based on the book written by Jane Austin, my father gave me the ugly duck of Lomography – Smena 8M, the iconic camera of the 80s, little family treasure, heritage; history of our family have been filmed by it. Well, definitely it is worthy of my time and attention as the novel from our library too, which I took as a November book for the city bus. My father bought the camera in the late summer of 1975. So, let me see, for how long we have this camera? Can't be: wow, 43 Years?! #bookstagram#bookishlove#bookgram#janeaustin#booklover#booklife#smena8m#photography#photolove#photographer#photoart#photooftheday#picoftheay#thingsilike#theeighties#magical#life#lifestyle#lifeisart#romanticmood#lovelife#voguemagazine#voguebeauty#book#bookreader#readersofinstagram#readers

About good books and high heels on sale

About the book "The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F☆ck" and high heels on sale @creamofscandinavia_belgrade @markmansonnet Strana 174: " Odbacivanje je osnovni i nužni deo održavanja naših vrednosti i prema tome i našeg identiteta. Sve vreme…" #bookaddict #bookstagram#bookishlove#bookoftheday#booklife#highheels#shoeoftheday#shoesofinstagram#shoes#shoeslover#booklover#bookaddict#bookarts#photography#photolove#artwork#thingsilike#instamoment#inmylife#bookart#bookgram#shoesgram#shoeaddiction#shoeshopping

In the circumstance where some of my favourite international Instagrammers, like @styleontheside , come across this post and like it, I would like to explain what is all about. Right now I'm reading the "Neuromancer" one of the greatest novels in Sci-Fi literature, written by William Gibson, and text below is my favourite part where the author gives us the description of the face of a young woman Lynda Lee, girlfriend of the main character, a washed-up computer hacker, Case. The book below the novel is a monograph from the museum "Hermitage", opened on the page with Paul Gogen's "Girl With The Fruit". #monday#mondaymood#mondaymorning#bookstagram#bookishlove#book#bookgeek#bookoftheday#booklife#instamoment#instabooks#instawriter#photography#photolove#litterature#scifi#art#lifeisart#artphoto#instadiary#inmylife#thingsilike#thingsthatmakemehappy#novel#reader#readers#bookaddict#booklover#bookaholic#bookish

Don’t invade my territory

I’m reading the novel “Life of Pi” as it is written, in English, and to be honest, I’m proud. How peculiar. I wasn’t expecting such a tremendous joy: most of the time I simply feel the urge to read it out loud. I love the way how author rolling down his thoughts on the paper while building the sentences. Most of them are deep, reflective and sincere like they were born in a curious mind and warm heart.

The beginning of chapter 13 took my attention, here is why:

” If you fall into a lion’s pit, the reason the lion will tear you to pieces is not that it’s hungry – be assured, zoo animals are amply fed- or because it’s bloodthirsty, but because you’ve invaded its territory.

As an aside, that is why a circus trainer must always enter the lion ring first, and in full sight of the lions. In doing so, he establishes that the ring is his territory, not theirs, a notion, that he reinforces by shouting, by stomping about, by snapping his whip. The lions are impressed. Their disadvantage weighs heavily on them. Notice how they come in: mighty predators though they are, kings of beasts, they crawl in with their tails low and keep to the edges of the ring, which is always round so that they have nowhere to hide. They are in the presence of the astonishingly dominated man, a super alpha male, and they must submit to his dominants rituals. So they opened their jaws wide, they sit up, jump through paper covered hoops, they crawl through tubes, they walk backwards, they roll over. “He is a queer one”, they think. Napping all the time does get a bit boring. At least, we are not riding a bicycle like the brown bears or catching flying plates like chimps”.

“TRI FACES Of One LOVE”

#reading #books again…“TRI FACES OF One LOVE“, Šandor Marai #autumnmood
